The Timothy Bradley-Manny Pacquiao Rematch Poster Was Already Made Two Weeks Ago

Timothy Bradley tweeted out this photo back on May 29th, 11 days before the fight that ended with him winning. Will a rematch happen? Most likely, yes. In fact, tickets apparently are already on sale.

  1. I’ve been hearing a lot of theories about how this happened. ESPN seems to want us to think officials who felt Pacquiao got a free decision against Marquez wanted to resolve the issue by stealing this one from him. I think it’s much more likely that the promoter of both fighters and the entire event, who most people recognize as in impediment to everything good in boxing, Bob Arum, is a more likely suspect. This poster and Bradley’s claims about oversized rematch tickets suggest that there was some kind of understanding. Then again, Bradley’s comment that he would have to watch the tape to see who won doesn’t support the fixed-fight scheme theory. Although, he did seem pretty confident in the press conference when asked “how can you win a decision against Pacquiao in Vegas?” and he replied “by winning, convincingly.”

    • Agreed. More money for everyone with a rematch of this fight.

I saw this comment on a YouTube video today about the fight. I had no idea Bradley said that before the results came in.

Here’s the comment: The reason Bradley was declared the winner was to allow them to have a rematch and make more money off that. It’s all in the business and sales. However, Pacquiao losing may decrease his chances of getting in the ring with Mayweather. For the people comparing this to the Marquez fight, that fight could’ve gone either way, whereas this fight clearly showed Pacquiao dominate in our eyes and statistically. After the fight b4 the results came in, Bradley said, “I tried hard but I couldn’t beat him.”
