The Saints GM has reportedly given Saints kicker Garrett Hartley an eight-year $100 million extension. The deal makes Hartley one of the highest paid players in the league.
“You know, it really is awesome to finally be recognized for your talents,” Hartley said in a press conference after inking the deal.
Hartley, who missed a significant amount of the 2011-2012 season due to an injury, said he was not surprised by the extension. “I wasn’t surprised. I was expecting it. Just wasn’t sure when.”
Saints GM Mickey Loomis was not available for comment but did mention that this deal shows “Who’s boss” of the Saints organization.
